Meet Katie
What began 15 years ago in my kitchen has grown into something I never expected: a business built around homemade treats, creativity, faith, and bringing a little sweetness to other people’s lives.
I first started making treats when my children were in school, creating homemade gifts for their teachers. I loved finding recipes that felt special, unique, and personal, and one of the first recipes I fell in love with was my toffee. What started as something I simply made to give to others slowly became a passion.
A few years ago, a friend encouraged me to turn that passion into a business. After taking the leap and eventually sharing my treats at a craft show at St. Laurence Church, I saw firsthand how much people enjoyed what I created. From there, the idea continued to grow.
Today, I love creating treats for all kinds of occasions, from everyday gifts and gatherings to weddings, celebrations, corporate events, and special orders. One of my favorite parts of this business is meeting new people, working with different businesses, and collaborating with clients to create something that feels personal to their event.
Moving to Texas also brought a new source of inspiration. I fell in love with Southern flavors and enjoy creating treats that have that warm, sweet Southern touch. My menu continues to evolve, with new flavors always in the works. I also love creating custom orders, whether that means adding a specific nut to my toffee, creating a special flavor, or adding embellishments that match an event’s theme.
For me, my treats are a lot like my kids: always growing, always changing, and always becoming something new.
My creativity is also deeply connected to my faith. I am a proud Catholic, and I consider this a Christian-based business. My husband, Mark, and I pray for this business together every night, asking God to guide me and help me use my gifts as He intends.
At the heart of it all, I simply love making something with my hands and giving it to someone else. Whether it’s a box of treats for a friend, a custom order for a wedding, or a new flavor I’m excited to share, every creation is made with a little bit of creativity, a lot of love, and plenty of sweetness.
